Looking for a CD/DVD receiver

Hi,
I'm currently looking for a new head unit and I'd like something that can hold LOTS of music. I have around 5000 mp3s and I'd like to fit as many as possible in my car without having to swap CDs all the time. I have a 40GB usb hard drive (mobile hard drive requiring 1.0A power, but I can make myself a power supply if required) which would be nice to use in my car. However, every USB-ready radio I've tried only support flash memory and will not read my hard drive. So unless there are radios that can read usb HDD, the usb port is pretty much useless to me.

The 2nd option is a radio that can read mp3 DVDs (ideally single and double layers DVDs). The only ones that I found were available only in europe...

Can any1 provide makes and model # for radios that either support usb hard drives or that can read mp3 DVDs? Under 250$ would be nice too, but I can go higher.

Thank you !!!

You maybe able to get a USB port that is powered. I have seen these work. You get a USB extension port with an adapter and you should be good. This may work

The problem with the USB hard drive isnt the power... I can make sure it has enough power... the receiver simply wont read the songs on it!!! I dont know why.
