Looking at a new stereo

Hey guys, I am looking at putting a small stereo together for my DD, it's a 91 Mazda Protege. I'm not after huge power or sound, just something better than the 20 year old system that was in it when I bought it. I already have some 5.25 Sony speakers in the front. They sound ok for running off the stock deck.

I've been looking at the matching 6.5's for the rear and an 8" JL W3V3. I already have an MTX amp that will work with the sub, but I do need an amp for the speakers. I was looking at a Kicker amp, but here's where I run into questions. The speakers are 4 ohm and the amp runs 2 ohm over 4 channels. I know its not gonna blow up, but what am I getting into in terms of sound quality?

Also, is there anywhere in Canada to buy FatMat? I'd rather buy that over dynamat to help keeping cost down.

The amp will play just fine on 4ohm speakers. Look for the power rating at 4ohms.
