looking for new sub - need advice
 

Hi everybody, I'm new to the forum. First let's start with what I currently own. I have a setup that is aging in my integra 98. Pretty simple setup consisting of a Pioneer HU (DEH7600MP - that is 2 years old), Kenwood amp (6 years old) and 2x10 inch Kenwood subs (6 years old).

Now, I'd like to change that big box in the trunk for something new (and smaller). I'd like to keep my amp. It is delivering 230 W RMS @ 2 ohms which I think is decent.

I'd like to change it for a single 10 inch sub. My target would be a dual voice coil, that way I could get more power. I'm looking more for sound quality (crisp and tight bass) than raw power. I'd like to spend around 150$ on the sub. I'm currently looking at :

Infinity REF1052W around 150$ @ Future Shop
JBL GTO1004D around 140$ @ Centre HiFi (looking really like the Infinity)
Alpine Type S SWS-1042D around 100$ on sale @ Centre HiFi (only have the link for the new 1043D but look a bit similar in spec)

Now for the questions :

Do you think my amp can actually drive any of these subs ?
If yes, which one do you recommend ?
Are there any sub in the 150$ price range I'm missing ?
Finally, are there any good place to buy audio in the Montréal area ?

Image Dynamics ID10D4v.3 would be a good choice.

It will have good output, have excellent SQ, works well in small enclosures, and has an attractive pricetag.

Sounds like a good sub. Any idea about the price and if there's a dealer in Canada ? I've looked rapidly on the web but found nothing (at least for Canada)

I've looked for Boston Acoustic and I found that one too : G110
for 169$. Looks like a good sub too. What do you think ?
