Have a 97 Chev S-10 extended cab with the Focal 165 V2 driver in door, tweeter in dash.

Right now just running off a Pioneer Head Unit.

Looking for amp to run them AND possibly add a sub later on.

Looking to spend about $400 CDN.

I looked at an Alpine unit where you can switch between 1,2,3 channel. Is this better than a 4 channel amp for my purposes?

Any other brand recommendations? AND, has anybody mounted an amp in the jumpseat area?

thanks

thats a nice set of components. if you want to do just one amp for the whole system get a big 4 channel with say 400 watts rms that way you would be giving the set 100 watts each and about 200 to the sub. just remember they usually rate amps at 2ohm load per channel, those speakers will be 4 ohms so if they rate 50 watts per channel at 2 ohms then you would get around 25 watts at the 4 ohm load.

Any brand recommendations for around $400 CDN?

P.S. I'll check on the ohms.
