Hit hard with a larger driver will need more power...

I think for the size/type of car is best bet will be a 10" sealed. I used to have 2 10" MTX Blue Thunder powered by a Sony XM-5520 (2x55w) in a 99 Civic HB and I used a electronic xover to HP the subs at around 40Hz!!! so even with only 55w per sub I was able to feel the kick drum in my chest and it always sounded good even with that missing 20hz at the bottom.

 

Have you ever listened to LIL Jon on a 10" sealed? You would be missing half of the song.

True that it wont play low as loud but on the other hand if your low play louder than your frontstage, we can't really say that it's listening to music.

 

Why do you keep referring to loud? Tune your car right and it will be fine. Are you saying that you cant have front stage and low bass at the same time?

All i'm tring to say is even with a well tuned setup, playing some LIL Jon, Young Jeezy & Cie (tune their song with a "slight" boost on the low end) will give so much bass that it will overtake the frontstage.

 

I really want a 10w7 in a saled box like this ! I think its best !

 

Then get one, if you go with something else you will always wonder what it would have been with the W7 anyways. And you can't go wrong with a W7.

I dont know. First I have to settle on a subwoofer, then I can buy an amplifier to power it properly/fully.
