so anybody else taking advantage of the macrom group buy .........
my plans had to change after I took my door panel off and reality crept in .....seems there's a bunch of window hardware back there
anyhow I'm getting a 6" set of m1 comps and a pair of 6" EXT midbass's ...........
can't wait

Yeah, I'm sure I could shoehorn them in with a little elbow grease and some MDF [img]smile.gif[/img] Anything is possible.
I actually owned a set of infinity reference 6.5's a couple of years ago [img]smile.gif[/img] I had to cut out all of the plastic in the back of the speaker pod, but they did fit.
I remember the guy at futureshop: "There is no way in hell you are getting those drivers in your doors"
Right now, I'm going to stick with kick panels only, maybe down the road i'll consider some midbass drivers to complement them in the doors. The IDQ6's and ID CS6's I like are quite beefy though, over 3" in depth I believe.
Dukk: If it wasnt for windows, I'd have some 8" subs in my doors for sure! Good thing I have A/C [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

It's also not hard to space back the window tracks in alot of vehicles out there. I have done it many times. I just use a 1/2 inch aluminium spacer and get a bolt 1/2 longer than stock, and space the track by the speaker opening out 1/2 inch no problem.
