Hey, just wanted to say I got my Macrom M1 6” components installed when I was out of town a couple weeks back. I figured at the rate I was going I’d never get em in, so I got the guys at Direct audio in Price Albert to put em in. They’re work as usual was great, I suggest if you live in the Prince Albert area you go to them for your stereo needs
Abyhow now that I’ve had a chance to play with them and break them in, I can sum up my impression of the M1’s in one word WOW, these things rock. I’m feeding them 150 watts per channel from my rubicon 702 and I can run them with the crossover set as low as 40hz and they take it no problem …………….
The midbass output from these speakers is awesome and the silk dome tweeters on these units are smooth as glass. My Cerwin’s tweeters sounded good, but I found them to be a bit too “bright”, a lot like some Mb Quart comps I listened too in other peoples cars.
My experience with component speakers is somewhat limited, over the years I’ve had a few pairs of lower end kenwood, coustic and PG comps as well as a pair of 6.5” kicker resolutions, a pair of Morel integra 8’s and my last set, a pair of cerwin vega IT series comps. These Macrom speakers blow them all away in both midbass output, and sound quality
Can’t say I’ve been happier with a pair of speakers yet
Can’t wait to try the Ext midbass’ I bought too……………

Sure, scroll to the top of the page, it is located underneath the white letters that spell out the word "sponsors" on a red background. It is also right above a rotating pic of a tire, words that say "eliminate road noise...", and a "B-Quiet" oval logo.
