Magnet Damage?
I have a sony explode CDX-MP70 and it used to be in my parents van that i wrote off....its been siting in a shoe box ontop of a shoe box with two 5" alpines and tow 4" alpines.....and i recently tryed to install in in my new vehicle a 2003 honda element but there is no sound coming from the deck...ive tryed it multiple times b4 all that would come tru the speakers was the radio...but i tried it a week later and nothin comes thru the speakers...i wired a 4" right of the back of the head and no sound...could that be caused by magnets.....i'm already certin i need a new deck but i wana know whst happenend to the other one so it won't happen again

i cant see magnets dammaging your hu especially small magnets like that
it is more likely that you have one one the output wire touching ground or theres a internal problem with the amp |
ive rewired the connecter 3 times and the first 2 times the radio worked then last night it didn't work when i tried so i thought id take a look....if i use RCA cables and run it through an amp i get sound tho so i dunno
|
and ive made sure theres no wires touching anything....i was talkin to one of my friends and we think i might have fried the internal amp.......cuz the wiring harness is good and then i jsut put the adapter on thats wired to the hu........i dunno don't think im gunn fu(k with it any more and just go buy a new deck
