the cut through idea is a outstanding one we have done many of them and they alwase turn out spectacular now... if you dont wana get a teano cover there are other things that can be done like using the priemeer shallow mount subs we would in all actuallity get 4 10 " behind you with have ing full extension of the seat . this only means the mp rack would have to go in the box that we ca do in a sprayin liner and make it weather tight so thers no worries with leaks and electronics

I got an 85 Silverado shorty 2wd. Here's what I did for my first system:
Hot Banana

I'm rebuilding it now. Got leather buckets in it, doing a custom console, new kicks, amp rack, etc. There is very little room behind the seat for a tall guy like me (6'2"). I'm not using the 8" sub box on the tranny hump, or the amp rack box. The amp rack box could be converted to a sub box. I had to have the bench seat moved up a little bit though.

nice truck man.i wish my shorty was that clean. that gives me some ideas.. and for the cut through idea, it sounds like a good idea.i just dont understand it fully.if you had some pics that would help alot.
