"only acception of JL Audio, there all a bunch of no name, cheapo brand pieces that wish they could be half of what American legacy, and Pyle, are. or let me guess there the top 2 audio brands on the market, arn't they??

STICK CRAPPY ASS GREEN MUSTANGS!!

I think that he is asking more than that stuff is new...well im actually pretty sure.

Vanilla Gorilla 12-21-2004 10:30 PM

AudioBahn is crap isn't it? I heard so much bad stuff about them. ISn't their crap totally over-rated.? For them, thats a good place to be in, only that much more profitable.

Dave MacKinnon 12-21-2004 10:38 PM

I have a good friend who is an Audiobahn dealer. It has proven to be one of his most reliable lines in terms of amplifiers and subwoofers, and he can make some reasonable profit off it, while giving customers the kind of performance they want.

Really, what more can the average customer ask for?

Sure, spending more will get you more. But most people are happy with 'just enough'.

It's great that they're a reliable product. But to call any of their subs the 2nd best subs out there is just a bit over the top

Mark_ab 12-22-2004 09:37 AM

Mediocrity packaged and sold as something it's not. Too bad chrome is synonymous with loud, for some reason.

Number 2 12-22-2004 12:13 PM

Retards like this make Audiobahn the huge company that it is.
"It has chrome flames so It must be awesome".
Go back to sniffin glue and ****in your sister.

MR2NR 12-22-2004 12:54 PM

Someone explain to me what flames (or chrome ones)have to do sound. If you don't like the chrome flames, that's great. Sex selss is all that it comes down to and the more a manufacturer does to highlight their product the more appeal both good and bad it will have. This marketing has nothing to do with how the equipment performs.

How much does it cost to produce an item like this, let's see, all woofers and amplifiers are chromed, mass production = lower costs.
how much does it cost another company that might powder coat all their amplifiers and subs, more or less? I side with Dave M. on this, I as a dealer have had zero failures on any Audiobahn piece of equipment, too bad I had to drop a good company like Rockford due to too many warranty claims. I guess you get what you pay for. Any product can and will fail and I'm sure that there are waaaaaaay more people out there who have had another brand of equipment fail as compared to an Audiobahn that they jumped on the hate bandwagon with.

Know the equipment, know how it performs, know it's limitations and use it properly and you should not have issues. I think Audiobahn needs to clean up in the "claims" dept. myself, but at the same time I am one who knows ho to disregard these claims and use their equipment properly.

mugen1 12-22-2004 01:12 PM

Gee, I better go sell my Audiobahn amp and sub right away. I feel like a loser after reading all that stuff. Hahahahaha.... not! I remember the day I entered an IASCA event with a pair of Pyle 8 inch subs in isobaric configuration. People laughed at it - "Look at that Pyle of S**t," they used to say....... until I took first place. Not just that event, but in just about every event that season (back in 1990). Money talks and bulls**t walks. Audiobahn does very well in the market place. Hey, I can make fun of people who watch WWF or people who watch grown men chase after a puck. But, I don't because we all have tastes and preferences. In the "real" world, many people think car audio fanatics are lunatics.... so what? I don't care. I'm not out to please anyone or conform to what they think is cool or not. ..... steps off the soap box.

Paul Niwranski 12-22-2004 01:42 PM

After reading that site, one thing is for certain...

4x4 owners are morons :D

coulter 12-22-2004 02:06 PM

lol thats a funny thread.

that guy has probably never heard any other sub except for his precious audiobahns.

in my opinion, audbiobahn makes a decent product, but you can find better for the same amount of money. but i guess thats kinda the same with a lot of the bigger names.

Venture 12-22-2004 02:08 PM

I use audiobahn and it has been good for me. but i have noticed alot of you jumping on the lets hate audiobahn bandwagon.but i must say that it is good too hear some good audiobahn remarks.
bare in mind that audiobahns market share is growing when most car audio companies are going backwards in sales.

If market share is in fact growing it is only because the average car audio consumer is an uninformed buyer and is easily swayed by the chrome flames and wooden packaging the products come in. I don't admire the product, but I do admire Audiobahn's marketing strategy. They have targetted their product very well towards the so called "rice" market. Additionally, from what I understand, Audiobahn is one of the most profitable brands for a retailer to carry (i.e. large markups), so sales staff naturally push the product since they are often commissioned on gross margin.

PEI330Ci 12-23-2004 08:58 AM

There are a couple of brands of electronics (not necessarily car audio) that I endorse and recomend because of the people behind them. This may be the dealer, the distributor, the manufacturer or all 3 that I enjoy dealing with.

At the end of the day, I will always support good people.

Audiobahn is a product that I have very little experience with, but to some people, the above applies to this product.

I respect that.

Adam

Vanilla Gorilla 12-23-2004 05:58 PM

I still think they're overpriced crap. The best sounding subs (and some of the loudest, given per capita power input) I've ever heard are Vifa, or Scan-speak. the best part, is they cost $120 or less each, rather then $800 or whatever like you have to pay for with crapbahn

Drew 12-23-2004 07:49 PM

So how is the car audio from princess auto? :D

Paul Niwranski 12-24-2004 10:21 AM
