heres a look, I've been offered one as a demo car? I think SQ wise it would be top notch, check out the 360 camera shot and see how the dash/kick areas look to you guys. I think if I take this offer I'll only use it for the circut/shows? < on the topic, think you personaly would ever walk across a room to see this style of car? thanks guys.. black on black is what I love about it, but its a little boring no? |
I think the Maurauder would be an awesome SQ car. I simply love them and turn my head everytime I pass one in awe. Not a boring car in my mind and I'd definitely go up to it if I spotted it across the room. I'd say give er all the way and keep us posted of it's progress

I played road tag with one of these a few weeks ago..........gobs of torque, power and sounded very sweet!!
|
I think the Marauder is really hot. I'd make a beeline to one at a demo show.
And the exhaust note is wonderfull. |
Cool ride for sure.

i've had a 92 grand marque and now have a 97 crown vic
both solid cars and the marauder i would like but for that kind of money a zo6 vet is my car marauder is a real nice car though the only thing is you will be spending a bit on gas exspecially if you do alot of driving there good on highway and pigs in the city |
I have heard that they are fairly slow though for what they are aimed against. I think I personally like the Lincoln LS better. Is the Maurauder available with a stick?
Pros Lots of trunk room Easy to mold head unit to look cool Not many out there Looks pretty good Cons Dash and console shape harder to get good sound from With a black interior will be harder to draw attention to interior work without looking gaudy (of course this is also a theft deterent so could be a pro) |
i also think the lincoln ls is an AWESOME car. Id consider buying one for sure.

It died on the highway and left my dad stranded a few weeks back. The stealership ended up having to change the whole engine. After that ordeal, the alternator died, new cats had to be installed etc etc etc. Never buy a Ford (Lincoln). |
It is not available with a stick ‘
I test drove one. This is a refreshed muscle car, decent brakes, decent steering, comfortable yet firm ride. I think it is made in Canada too, all the Crown Vics at the local Ford dealership are from Canada. I didnt listen to the stock radio, I was interested in a new performance car that I could tote kids and stuff in. Pro: understated appearance but muscular Pro: drove over road construction way too fast and i didn’t jar my teeth out. Pro; Quiet in the car, nice muscle toned exhaust note comes in and says hi! Pro: good brakes, wouldn’t autocross with them but streetable Con: just not that fast, I hit the go pedal and waited for 2 seconds nothing ...then holy hell broke out and it pushed off the line. This is a BIG car the 300HP could grow to 400 with a blower and then it would be great in a straight line. Con: It has a fast turn in and decent turn ratio but I smacked my head against the side window every time I pushed the envelope. I wanted to love this car but my SHO's eat this thing up and spit it out performance wise. Decent auto shifter, a little lurchy during power accelerations. My first car was a Plymouth Sport Fury with a 440, and this car is trying to be the same car (without the rust). Deep discounts on the Marauder down in the states. A local dealer had two on his lot for 6 months and they were sold for $27,000 US each. With a performance upgrade this car would rule, freaking awesome if it had 400 HP, lower and firmer suspension, sport seats. I love its appearance though I don’t know how it would pull people across a room it is more of a Q-ship. This is a slower Impala SS from a few years back. |
Lots of room for kicks and look at those AC vents in the dash, convert a few to planar drivers!
The 360 interior view shows a newer drivers seat than I recall, still very little side bolsters |
If money was no object I'd love the new GT40, ya like it would fly living in Canada Eh! This Marauder is an wonderful looking car. Lots of room to move pack up your gear an go. A little lowering a light tint oh 38% around maybe. Lots of room for audio look at the head room space. will it work then cost won't be an problem. A little lighting may over come the black int. and leave it stelth when needed! My 2.3c worth! :D

awsome car (I'm into sporty 4 door luxo barges)
one of the few fords I'd consider buying should make a good demo car room for all the gear and room for the luggage too |
The Marauder is made at the Ford plant in Talbotville, ON. (b/w St.Thomas and London)

Very nice car. Others I would choose at the $$$ but if that is what is offered I would snatch it up.
|
Since it's being offered, I would go for it. Very classy looking car. Would be great at shows to market an up-scale product. Lots of room in the trunk also. Doesn't live up to the performance hype though. Those 300 horses get lost in the driveline somewhere (probably in the slush box).

slam it to the ground.. put some nice rims on it and it would be sweet..
|
They look nice on the street and with some upgrades would draw you into the display.
Who cares if it's fast? How many demo cars ARE fast? Take a mildly modified Civic like you would see on most streets and throw in a few hundred pounds of sound deadener and electronics. Then check the time slips.... |
