can you leave the current tinsel and double it

can you pinpoint with the DMM where it goes from 8ohms to 4, is it near the cone or near the connector?

If it was a damaged lead it would likely be reading open...

It's hard to say what is wrong with it without looking at it; but if it needs a recone I could recone it with non stock parts.. PM me and I'll see if I can help you out..

reads 5.7 at connector and 4.1 close to the coil. redid the leads from that point and seems fine for now sitting at 4.1 ohm each. now doing the second sub.

haunz i would love to recone these. just not sure how you would do it lol. and since the recones for this sub is no longer in production .... well it sux.

ill post a pic of the sub and coil ( cone ) and we will see from there. if you can recone we will do that instead. BUT shipping 2 45pound subs aint the best way to do this either lol

sweet final load of 1.5ohm. just like before. tryed it and works like a charm. ( on the sound wall of course ) now waiting for my dam mosfets to show up so i can slap it all in the van again
