Mazda 6 Head Unit.
I've got a Mazda 6 and at first got an interface module (RE-Q) so I could hook up my bass. I wasn't very impressed with it. Doesn't feed much voltage to the amp. I then spent the $300 or so it was for the metra kit, and hooked up a deck... and also went up 2 db. I never bothered buying a module for the steering wheel controls... they're just for show now...
If bluetooth is law in Ontario (I beleive it is), I would do some serious consideration of a headunit that had it onboard. The cost of the ticket here is $167.00 and 3 points, it can get expensive in a hurry. The 493 is a stellar unit, a great platform for system expansion. If you already have a separate bluetooth unit, then sure go for this cd player.
Kenwood has the 742 model in non excelon and the 993 model in excelon. Eclipse has the CD5030 which is a astounding head unit. Well worth stepping up if it is in the budget (or if the budget has rubber to stretch it that far).
Well, the 493 says there's an add on available fro bluetooth. I've been shopping discount, and my total would be over $1500 on electronics, and supplies to make my custom sub boxes. I really don't want to be spending TOO much.
