Me, Myself and My sub...

Ok so I got a new box from PTS for my CSS SDX15 sub. This sub is design to play very low and the box was tuned for the sub. My problem now is this sub it's simply amazing with low but i am disappointed because when i listen to rock,blues,metal... i can't feel the kick drum, i hear it's there but it's not pounding like i wish it would...

I still want some low but would also like to feel tight punch, someone told me to go with 4 10's in a sealed box...

Ill be pushing all this with a Sundown 1500D

What should i do/get?

might have to look at getting someone to design you a 4th order bandpass so you can get the flat response your looking for due to the fact you listen to a veriety of different genres of music

theres a guy i know of another forum realmofexcursion.com, his screen name is fallen. the guy can design anything from bandpass, to tappered horns. give him a shout at fallen@rcbenclosures.com

Yes I need to control the level, since recording can be different and ill need to adjust to match the recording.

that perticular woofer is more of a Home Theater based..it was designed
for the low stuff
that woofer actualy likes to be tuned down in the 24-26hz range for a flat
response but that would have been even worse on the kick drums
it may be the wrong driver for what you are wanting out of it....

two 10" Icons would be just stupid tuned at 33hz...they produce very
hard hitting kick drums

add 2 10" with your 15. the 10s tuned to play from 38 to 80 lets say and the 15 to play 38 and down. can be done

soo you would have the kicks you want and have the great lows you have allready

followed your build on ROE. i dont hang on that forum much anymore... i feel the guys from SSA are taking over and using the site to promote their products WAY TOO MUCH. i still check into the build log area though cause there are some awesome builds going on
