Midbass placement
I know you're not supposed to be able to tell where the sub bass is coming from, but does the placement of the midbass drivers matter when you're building a setup, or are the doors just the usual place for them? Thanks for your help.

midbass is as critical as the midrange in my opinion, particularily when it comes to pathlegnths and x-overs points/slopes. many people put their midbass in the doors because it provides the path of least resistance, on that path their are some major compromises, pathlegnths and frequency response come to mind immediatley. other times their is just no other place without major, and usually very costly mods to the interior that many people arent interested in in newer more exspensive cars, see the compromise now
