Well, I had a Pioneer 7300, and recently sold it. Looking for something new with MP3 for long trips. I've been after a Pioneer 940/9400, but they are hard to find. Just recently, I came across someone selling an Alpine 7995. How were these units? I previously used my 7300 with a EQ-6500 so that I could help adjust my mids and hight the way I wanted. Should I keep this little EQ or will the Alpine be be configurable enough to my taste. I dont need a strong powerful EQ, it's just for daily driving, but I don't know much about Alpine products. I've actually only used Eclipse and Pioneer for HU's ... does this model Alpine have much configurability in terms on control. I dont like a flat curve, I like to have some good midbass! Also, does $250 CAD sound like a good price to pick this thing up?

I haven't owned this model, but I have always been a fan of Alpine head units. Great quality and reliability for the money. I've owned Clarion, Pioneer, Nakamichi, and Alpine (3 of them to date). For overall value, durability, functionality and personal preference (we're all looking for something different in a HU); I prefer the Alpines.

On this specific model, check these:
