.....Mindless Rumblings......

The season is upon us and yet the forum is rather dry reading. There's been nothing interesting since PEI330 posted some stuff a while back and now the lad is off in the desert capturing sand fleas or something. So he's out of the picture. Hard Core junkies like DWVW and Dukk been stooling it, Big Dave MAc hardly ever posts anything........... Moe WTF are you (??), Edmundson is a lurker (I know you're here buddy!!), Defro?!!?, Fatty, Wade, Tinted, Lauf and so many others. What's going on guys?!?!?!?! Why so quiet? And don't tell me you're all workin'.
It would be nice to get this board heated up again. IF all you ladies are working so hard, take some pictures and post them up.
Ok, so here's what I've been up to. Trailered this wreck home for parts:
She's being gutted for goodies but the shell is a goner. The kick panel area is mint for kicks as there a 12"x14" hole.......... of rusting rot Here she sits prior to the gutting happening.......... just no doors and the front hood dislocated !!
Later on down the road, raped of parts, here she is.
I already have another shell sitting in the driveway that's from Georgia and is rust free. That shell will be the base for the entire project. So after the above rust pig is gone, the shell comes into the garage to be prepped for acid dipping and base coat. Just have to find a few body parts before that happens............ and a motor. Not going to be using the stock motor.
Audio wise............. yes, there will be a simple system in this car for SQ. Mind you depending on how the motor goes, I may just decide to hire Tinted on a consultation basis and make her a pounder. Just like to finish up by saying I decided to start this project just around the time our second child arrived. Oh yes, a move that only the insane would try unless the wife is hugely understanding. I have to admit that I pushed the envelope on this one with the wife. My wife is incredible and I am totally unworthy.......... huge thanks to her for the patience and the support for me to have pulled off such idiotic timing to start such a thing To those wife's who are incredible

The toys have arrived!
Now...if I can just get you converted to the "F" brand, you'll be all set. LOL
Nice car Tom, I hope it goes well.
Don't worry, I'm busy doing car stuff...and I'll be posting lots of results. This RTA rocks...

She looks like a lot of work! Friends of my family are rebuilding a 2002 a couple of blocks from my house here. We thought it had enough rust to make it a pain in the ***.....we didn't see yours! What are you doing for a motor? Our friends are swapping in a newer 318 motor if a remember correctly.

ok....moving along
Tom let me show u how to do a project car. This one here is for all the ricers out there.
Well first i had this thing imported straight from Ukraine. Was a hard find but I managed to locate one right in the heart of Chernobyl and bring it over here:
not only i was lucky to actually locate the vehicle, i was lucky enough to find one with a roof rack.
my luck didnt stop there, the car also came with the A/C. notice the fan on the dash to the right
For anyone that might not know the car is an 1960 Zaporozhets. The specs are as follows:
Engine: MeMZ-965(966), 26(27)hp/4000rpm, air cooling V4-cyl, 4-stroke OHV, 887cc [54 Cu. In.]
Weight: 650 kg [1430 lb.]br> Top speed: 80(90) km/h [50(56) mph]
Tyres: 5.20-13 in.
Fuel capacity: 30 L [7.93 US gal.]
Fuel consumption: 5.5 L/100km [42.8 miles/US gal.]
this thing is already a monster but i decided to drop in the Turbo anyway
hopig to get this beast up to spanking 30hp!!!! V-4 motor baby!!!

next step ofcorse was the tricked out suicide doors. every true ricers needs one or two of those. After hardwork and lots of vodka the result is
then I stripped the paint to get it ready for the full body kit. I also take care of the rims and tires by slapping on some Firestone racing tires and and ultra light wheels from my wheelbarrow.
and finally the last step. big thanks goes out to the Ukranian owned chopshop at Islington and Lakeshore for hooking me up with this phat *** body kit and the pimp'd green paint job
watch out for me to be cruzzin by the Tim Hortonz near you.....
im also planning on blowing up all the Woodbridge hot spots this summer.......watch out
