Sound alot like the Sprott Shaw Community College..... what a colossal waste of $ for the people who have gone there as well.

as a md grad i feel that it was a waste of money. I learned more by actully working on a car then sitting in a classroom.
well i took the course in 1993 and thought the teachers knew there stuff, but the school never prepared me enough for the real world of installing. i learned more from on hands training then anything, thank you Ken Wallace, i passed my mecp with 100% and sucked when i came out i just wasent ready. now after being in the industry for 18 yrs , i have seen and worked with lots of NEW mecp certified techs, and can honestly say..... not good... everyone of them had a huge chip on there shoulders, wanted stupid money, had no tools, and new everything.....i know this school was a starting point for young and upcomming installers, but i dont feel the school actually gave them the right training for our profession........ only experience can do that... anyone can fiberglass, but an installer figures out how those locks work on a 2008 volvo with no tech support!
^ Good point Randy about your last statement. It's an experienced installer who knows how to TROUBLESHOOT and figure out and remember all the different electrical workings of countless vehicles. Especially when it comes to things like alarm systems which have so many interfaces with the OEM electronics. Even wiring up a relay would probably be a challenge for most industry noobs. The old-timers like yourself are a thinning breed!

mobile dynamics created a pile ole pile of super qualified foor sweepers.....i took md about 20 years ago in richmond...went to a strip bar for lunch...pounded 8 beers came back and did my test and failed the relay part.....thats all i remember from mobile dynamics........good times
But you took the course...and you do more than sweep the floors???
i was running a shop long before i took the course, the course was for some new people that had just started working at the store....i attended for moral support and for the strippers
