Anyone know where in the Vancouver area I can get some Molex plugs that will work with up to 8 or possibly 4 awg wires? Thanks!

You have a couple options. Trends electronics is the Phoenix gold distributor in canada. They are located in north vancouver. They don't sell to the general public, but if you can find a pg dealer in the area, they will have one or can get one. Another 'welfare' option is to use a male and female clothes dryer plug. We use these in all sorts of aplications. We do all the audio work for all the local radio stations. They all pull their boxes out at night. The dryer plugs are more industrial and will stand up very well over time. Plus there are 3 terminals, so you have positive, negative and remote.

Hope this helps. Stop by an appliance repair store and check them out.

Cha-ching!! Those connectors are expensive. I thought on buying quick disconnects but decided against it considering I was going to pay US$17each.

You likely won't have much fun at Lordco, I've checked on that already.

Guys, you are all missing a gold mine.

Anderson Power Products makes exactly what you are talking about. I'm currently putting two 1/0 awg lines (both positive and negitive - that's four 1/0 awg wires folks) to my amp racks with this type of connector. They are the industry standard for high amperage quick disconnects.

Here's a link: http://www.andersonpower.com/products/mp/sb.html

I bought my connectors from PARTS FOR TRUCKS for about $35 each. They are worth the price.

How about under $10 for one that will do 1 awg ? Forget Lordco, Warn, Scoshe, PG.................buy them from the place that actually uses them.....................forklift suppliers. They use them on the chargers.

$17 CDN gets you a plug, the 2 terminals and a hard plastic insert cover to keep the crap out.

Just the plug alone from PG, scosche and Warn are all over $40 cost.............
