O.k. unless I sell my amps I will end up installing a system in my car this year anyway.

I have 2 US Amps DE-1000 Amps that I was going to run each off a sub but found a single amp to do the pair of subs now and wondered if it would be possible to use each DE-1000 to run each channel of my components separately. DE-1000 are technically sub amps (mono) but if I run them in slave mode to buypass all amp controls and run full range into each crossover at 4ohms would they sound fine or will they sound bad due to the amp being a digital mono amp? I always used class A/B amps for front end but since I have these amps already can I utilize them to run in stereo for my front end speakers. Power may be a bit over kill but I will have gains down prior to initial test. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

The amps have only gain control, crossover freq variable control and a switch to run either subsonic filter at 36hz, or variable crossover and a slave mode which I assume is full range because it takes signals from a identical primary amp for all controls when wired up in parallel from special input/output lines. So basically I will be running the amp just for power output and let the crossover from the components do their job. How does a digital mono amp sound compare to an A/B when used to run speakers rather than subs regardless of the configuration?

easy way to find out...hook it up outside the car, if you hear highs then it's full range.

make sure those do before you waste your time, if they do you're good to go
The Xtant 1.1 is a class D mono block full range.
