Just what we needed, a big box Radio Shack!

You know Pinhead, the U.S. big boxes are the least of our problems. How about the U.S. ownership of of all the companies that control the oil and gas industry, meat processing plants, lumber industries, and our culture (Disney owns the rights to the likeness of the RCMP).

I thought they just owned the RCMP logo

They don't own the logo as far as I know, they own the "likeness" in other words the "look" of the uniform. It was for the Dudley Do Wright movie that they bought it I think. I remember around that time they also had a Mickey Mouse doll or something in a RCMP uniform.

Yeah, its pathetic. We need some laws about the % of foreign ownership. For places like Best Buy , Canada is a goldmine. They get their buying power from all the stores in the US and then jack up the price 65% and rip us Canadians off calling it "shipping costs and market differences".

If I can buy a 32' TV from a Best Buy in Florida and have it shipped UPS to my door for $75 and I'm just one little guy I don't see how a massive company with major shipping discounts would pay anymore than half that per unit on a truck load of TV's from a wharehouse in Detroit.

There's an understatement.
It is obvious you do not appreciate the kind of tariffs, duties, import fees, and all the other crap that goes on with commercial importing. It is different than bringing in a single TV, sweatshirt, case of beer, or whatever in the back of your car.

I don't expect you to know any of this but I wonder how you can have such a stand since really, you don't. I import a fiar bit of stuff personally and a LOT for my work and it is two different worlds. First thing htey do ask you when you import personally is if it is for private or commercial use. It makes all the difference in the world.
