My hot ticket in Jeeps has always been to use a pair of 10s and fire them down at the floor. I would recess the baffle so it was 1.5inch from the floor at the tailgate, 3-4" off the floor at the seat, and have it so all the sound funnelled under the back seat. The bass would load off the floor and be much more consistent, even with the top off. A possible side benefit is getting some air moving around the amps under the seat.
 |
subs in wranglers and convertibles are a waste of time.
you're never going to have anything loud because you cannot get cabin pressure. |
