MTX 6500D doesn't power up
Hi,
I blew my amp a few month ago. (short circuit on the output speaker :bawling: ) I see that the four 75339P were smoke. I changed all four with IRF3205 and the amp doesn't want to turn on. Mitek Canada say to send my amp to RPM 124 Denonville Laval, Quebec H7W 2M8 I send my amp there for repair and stick a note in the amp that say that I changed the 75339P with same specification parts. It was costly to repair the amp and I told them to send me back my amp with the parts that I have to change to repair my amp. The parts that I receive are the same parts that I changed before and the amp doesn't want to turn on before with these parts. To be sure I change the parts with the new parts and my amps did the same. It doesn't power up. I know that my parts wasn't the same number but they have the same specifications like oem. Did they really test my amp or they just see the note that I write and they think it was the problem? :bs: The parts that I put in the amp was replacement part with same specifications. If they don't know what my amp have just tell it don't tell me that a need new parts that I already change before and they know that I changed these parts because I write a note that I stick on the amp. I'm really disappointed with the repair department of Mitek Canada. Sorry for that, just my 2 cents! Did someone have an idea of what should I change to repair my amp? Or did someone want an MTX 6500D broken amp? Thanks tidom78 |
How are you disappointed in the repair department? They didn't repair your amp, you did...?

I'm disappointed because I write and stick on the amp a note that I changed some parts with new parts with the same specifications and the repair department send me the same parts , but oem, that I changed before sending my amp. It's like they didn't test the amp and just read what I write and think it's not a oem parts.:dunno:

its heavy enough for a paperweight right? Maybe big enough to chock the wheels when you jack the car up?

Based on what you have said thus far, I did not see any request to test the amplfier (which of course is not free either and it seems that you had a issue with paying for repairs). It seems that they did what you asked for, if you had expected more, perhaps you should have asked them to test it and send you all the parts to repair it and pay for their time to diagnose it.
