MTX 6500D & EBC 2 Controler?

I just got a MTX 6500D amp to power my 2 Infinity subs and I was wondering is that EBC 2 Bass controller any good? What the heck would you use it for? And is it at all usefull? Thanks!

Just to elaborate a little... I *think* the EBC on the older 6500D class D amps actually controls the bass boost, centered somewhere 40Hz IIRC, so not actually again control. The new models that are supposedly hitting the shelves soon have the remote ***** that will actually let you control the gain. The range that the **** will cover will be from minimum gain to a maximum of whatever the gain on the amp is set to.

Yes, The EBC **** for the thunder amplifiers turn up and down the gain section of the amp. So all the way to the right is where the gain is set.

All MTX remote bass ***** work in this fashion. [img]smile.gif[/img]

They are only 35 bucks. It couldnt be worth it, unless your a do it yourself kinda guy.

How much do you think telephone cord and a pot would cost????
Under 5 bucks for sure
plus about 10 min soldering time...
It is worth it in my opinion.
Plus the pot the MTX unit uses is way too big.
Does anyone know if a PG LPL controller would work?
