I orginally had a mtx 801d, but then upgraded to mtx 1501d. I was wondering if these two amps could be strapped together? Or could you take it to a repair shop and they could make them strappable? I have seen other people say that the mtx 1501d is strappable! But in the specs/features it doesn't say anything about it being strappable! mtx 801d I haven't seen anything as of yet.

Thanks
David

2 1501D's can be strapped yes!

2 801d's with phase adjustment can also be stapped.

Dont do this with 2 amps that are differant.

If I were to strap two 1501d to a single mtx T9512-44 "12 How much power would it be getting rms? could it handle it for a burp? Is strapping it any different then just having 1 on each voice coil?

You would be getting about 2500 ish watts RMS... and it would be totally different than putting one per coil. Each coil is 4 ohm, so you are only getting half of the output out of the amp. So you would get the same output from one running at 2 ohm as two of them one on each 4 ohm coil.
Yes, that woofer should be able to handle that much power for a burp.
