MTX or Clarion

MTX or Clarion
Hey everyone. I need some major help in deciding in what to get.
The coice is between a Clarion APX1301 amp OR an MTX TC4001 amp.
In case you wanted to know what I'm planning on running, I have 2 x 10" Shock Z4 subs that are 500watt/pk each.
The range of the MTX being 20 - 200Hz kind of worries me compared to the Clarion's 20 - 20000Hz range. Is is that important.
On the other hand the MTX has 75dB Noise ratio compared to Clarion's 70dB ratio.
So which one do you guys think is better?

Don't go by frequency range, a typical crossover range is 80 to 100 hz for subwoofers. The MTX amp is a class D, which will make it more efficient, and has a subsonic filter which will be good if your system is ported.
What are you using for a box and what resistance are you running (4 ohms, 2 ohms, etc). What kind of warranty do you get with each amp? What price are each going for?

It's a Bandpass, ported box that allows you to see the magnets, and has LEDs.
The Subs are 2 ohms. Each amp has a 1 year warrenty. As for price, I want to pay as little as possible, but I don't want to go too low where I'm getting a shitty amp.

I actually had the Clarion APX1301. It was a good amp until it went up in flames.. (literally in flames)
Granted it was probably a faulty unit to begin with, but it had other problems then just that (and it wasn't my wiring). Being a class A/B amp, this thing gets hot, and I mean hot! It would not last more then 2 hours of continues play before going into thermal protection. If there was anything in my trunk it would cut that in half, if not more.
I also have a sunfire, 1997, and the there was no way to get enough air in that trunk unless you put fans in there.
It also draws lots of power (again A/B amp)
I suggest neither of those amps. I would go for a Alpine MRP-M500 I replaced my Clarion with this and couldn't be happier.
