MTX RT subs

so i've been doing some thinking...and i like mtx older series subs..i've had the 4000 , 6000, and 8000 series ...and they've performed great..but i've never heard the road thunder series...i was thinking abt getting a bunch of these...i'm just bored...i want a new project..but anyways...are they any good ? or will i be just wasting my money..and i'm better off getting something else...

Thanks..

I had a pair of RT10-04s and they worked great. Had them on an Orion HCCA275r for a while getting around 7-800 rms and they barely got warm after a half hour of pounding. Wouldn't hesitate to get another pair.

Not a big fan of RT series.

my friend had some thunder 4500s that we pushed daily with about 800 watts to the pair, never smoked once, etc,

only thing is, some ****er ganked his box/subs/amp in under 5 minutes haha

I have two mtx RT 10 and I want to put them in my jeep. I want to know what amp to use! They have a 400 watt peak and they are 4ohm dual voice coil. Please help I'm new at the whole car audio thing.

Key words here " Small Sealed Box " thats why they sounded the way they did. Those woofers need a fair bit of volume to make them perform and are suited for a vented enclosure.
