If you dont want holes in ur floor, make 2 "L" brackets to screw into your rear deck (making sure not to put screws completely through), and bolt ur box onto the brackets

On the underside of your box glue some grip tape or gritty sandpaper. Then if your box has any kind of wieght that thing aint going anywhere

If you look at some of the pics from that "amp install faq" topic we've looked at, there's a part about grounding your amp. Look at the pic there's a bolt at your seat, just bolt it up to that spot.

well if you're dead set against drilling holes in your car, you can get some JB WELD (metal putty, that hardens to a metal like hardness and strength)) that you can use to attach L brakets to the trunk floor. It's very strong stuff if used properly, most auto parts stores will have it (it's used to repair chips, cracks, broken parts in cars).

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

For now I'm going to downgrade my hulking ported box to a smaller sealed box so it should be easier to hold down.

I'll let you know how it turns out

Is this car a sedan or hatch? If it is a sedan top mount it to the bottom of the rear deck using some simple backstraps or plumbers pipe hanging tape. This way there are no screws that go to the outside of the vehicle that can lead to rust. The solid metal support structure that runs along the top and behind the rear seats is easy to drill into and is a solid point to attach a box to.
