My first set up

6 Attachment(s)
heres some pics what you guys think.... i know the components are cheap...... it only for my dad :)

600w dual amp
.5 farad scorsche cap
scorsche wiring kit
pioneer 12" subs
home made box
sony deck
4x6 pioneer rear speakers
6 1/2 sony front speakers (powered by the amp as well as the subs)

oh and for any one who asks the seat is fully functional (it does go down and you can sit on it although it is a good massage seat :)

It's not the equipment, it's the install that counts....:smokin:

Without seeing the install for the rest of the speakers or under the hood, what I see looks clean enough....how does it sound??

Hope you put the dash back together after the pics......:D

ill get the rest of the pics 2morrow my camera battery died lol. the dash was apart so i could wire my rear fog lights i just installed :) although trust me i had plaenty of dashless driving around when i started installing the sound system. it sounds good to me except 1 minor issue im trying to figure out with the subs, im taking it in to an audio store 30mins away to see if they can properly tune it for me, ive tried to do my best but inexperienced i want it done right especially being not mine(dads) :ohwell: lol

the little problem is that the subs tend to have this weird buzz nosie at high volume levels. im 1ce again assuming i havent done something correct regard to tuning.

Post a pic of the seats down once you get batteries for your camera. Looks nice though. Is that box sealed? Did you make the box?

caron 04-02-2009 10:01 PM

Yes i made the box my self long day that was. the box is not sealed unfortunatly, there is no bottom to it......another day :)
problem is making the wood go around that tranny/driveshaft arch

sounds like an inifinite baffle setup to some sort. definatly try one day to seal those woofers, and you'll be surprised with the outpput

i want to i just gotta come up with an idea on how to lol

Fiberglass? It would let you get around everything without having to spend hours cutting out wood.

Quick and easy way is to pull the box, flip it over, add a piece of wood under the subs from the outside edge to the point where the hump starts and seal off that area with a small piece of wood.....problem is it may not leave enugh airspace behind the drivers, but it should sound better than press-fitting the box to the floor with the seat.....:smokin:

Your "BUZZ noise" could be a couple of things: 1) bad ground location, 2) gains set too high, 3) improper wiring placement. The tricks to find where the noise is entering the system.
