Seriously, this thing pulled such high dBs with all the subs I used it on that I have lost a majority of my hearing in the past year or two.
wow buddy, you just gave the entire richmond hill a bad name with that comment there. you do know a heatsink modification will not make an amp produce more power at a lower load. just thought i'd mention.

are you the guy that drives a black passat with center caps missing on all 4 wheels?

semendemon 08-08-2007 11:34 PM

I do not have center caps missing on my car. I do not drive a shitbox. I drive a B5 Passat with the stock alloy rims and center caps on, which looks a lot like an A4.

Anyway, I have taken out my comments on this amp, because they are creating controversy. However, it is all over the Internet and you are welcome to do your own research. This amp is only 2 ohm stable out of the box, but can be inexpensively modified to a 1 ohm stable amp with the reliable heatsink modification (which a lot of people who own this amp do). With that modification, this amp can put out 1500w RMS into a 1 ohm load at 12.5v and even more juice at higher voltages, such as 14.4v. Again, I am not a newbie, so I know that lowering the impedance does not double the power in most cases, but in this case, the amp is 1 ohm stable and it will put out more juice into a 1 ohm load at 14.4v than 12.5v. It has been proven by the many users of this amp. Just read the CarReview reviews that are posted, as opposed to coming on my thread and posting some bullshit that no one cares about. You just technically made a fool out of Toronto, but that's not possible, because Toronto is a lot bigger and better than fools like you.

BUMP.

ok u are an idiot. please explain to me how a HEATSINK mod can make the amp go up in power? heatsink has nothing to do with 2 ohm or 1 ohm or 50 ohm. yes i have had this amp and yes it plays 1 ohm straight out of the box, i dont know what kind of idiot do you have to be to believe this heatsink mod myth. do you even know what a heatsink on an amp looks like? did you even read my post right? this amp doesnt need any HEATSINK to play 1 ohm, it just does it. give me your amp I will show you.

a heatsink will help to dissipate the heat faster, please explain to me how this helps the amp play a lower load which you claim it normally would not?? maybe im really an idiot, can you please explain to me how this is possible?

since you know way more than i do please tell me what exactly this mod is??

saying that doing anything to a heatsink of an amp makes it play lower load is like saying putting a bigger radiator on a car makes it have more gears.
so whatever mod it is that YOUR amps needs to play 1 ohm, it's definately not a heatsink mod. maybe a protection mod. please do not pull things out of your ass and try to back it up by reviews from a site thats been pulled out of an ass itself. please do not make me copy and paste some of the great "reviews" done by some very "knowledgable" people on CarReview, if those reviews are your source of info then good luck.

here is one of the reviews for amusement's sake straight from the first page.....

Summary:
After heat stroking my kenwood 700 and my Pioneer mosfet 750. I ran across the 1501D D for DAMN!! I have 1 12"sony in custom ported box, running the mtx bridged at 4 ohms 1000w in an accousticaly superior car(lots of window glass) when the bass hits...any newbie in the passenger seat FLINCHES!! LOOKING AROUND!! Some times CRY!! Its a beautiful thing....This is THE AMP TO HAVE!

Strengths:
Speaker protection circuit anti clipping
strong deep power

Weaknesses:
thief magnet!

Similar Products Used:
nothing comes close

........and this is your source of information? maybe you even wrote that review?

you took out your comments because........

1. you were lying
2. they were stupid

Prolifik 08-09-2007 10:59 AM

sorry but here is another great review, damn i think after reading this i will go and buy me some of these amps instead of the POS amps that i used to compete now.

Summary:
I work for Circuit City and have seen hundreds of amps and this is the nicest amp i have seen and used. This amp has serious power and grreat response. I am running 4 (yes 4) Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1d of theese on this one amp. I run it at 2ohms and with o gauge power wire, so it is never starving for power. This amp never even gets warm and the gains on the amp are maxed. If you need some serious power and are on a budget this amp will get the job done.

Strengths:
Power, price, and overal performance

Weaknesses:
NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Similar Products Used:
