I don't like the new model. The magnet is dumb on em. I know they were just trying to make them round like a ROUND sub haha with a square face/cone but still...
Be careful. I melted mine with my Alpine MRD-1001. 1000rms !!! What it's rated for and it couldn't hack it... the second one I had anyways. Probably woulda been better if I didn't put it in a 6ft^3 box with a huge port and ran a bass cd.

not sure yet, definitly want ported....someone suggested this
4.5 ft^3 + port and brace displacement, 50 in^2 port area 15" long @ 38 hz, F3 30Hz

Have two of these in my Bimmer , they pound like crazy but still not enough for me . If u have a hatchback then ur lucky..

king kong no htachback, its going in my winter beater for now(96 lumina lol) with a completly sealed off trunk

i want to reuse the box from my dual 15" RF punch HX2s and just reface it for the L7 and slot port
this is the size of the box

and what i came up with on the RE box designer
