My set-up, few questions.

Hey,

So heres my story so far.
I ordered a system for Christmas from MR2NR. First let me start by saying that there isn't one bad thing that I could ever think of to say about Rob. He helped me find a system that fitted what I wanted, came in exactly at my budget, and makes my single 12" kick harder then all my friends dual 12" systems, even with a less powerful amp.

My system is as follows:
Eclipse CD3200 Deck
Eclipse XA1000 amp
Digital Designs 2512a 12" sub
Sub is in a custom ported box

When I first hooked this up I had the RCA cable pins break off in the amp(not sure why as I wasnt even driving when it happened, broke off in my garage.)
MR2NR told me to get in contact with S&S Electronics, as they were the only shop authorized to handle Eclipse warranty issues. I took my amp there and I must say I am extremely satisfied with their work. They were very helpful, ridiculously quick in fixing the problem, and all works great now.

Now to the problem.

After hooking it all up it when I first got the amp back from S&S, it didnt work for me :thumbsdow

So I was stuck waiting a few days for my buddy to get some free time as he was going to bring over his amp to ensure it wasnt a wiring problem somewhere else.

Yesterday as I was leaving my girlfriends when she was taking her car to work, she told me to put on the radio as a new song was playing that I wanted to hear. I turn on my radio and almost blew my eardrums(I had my amp controls 3/4 way up trying to make it work the previous day, deck bass full, NF-FADE full, and loudness turned on. luckily volume wasnt loud or I wouldve killed myself lol.)

I only listen to my ipod or cds in the car so I didn't try the radio when I first got amp back.

So my question, how do I make my sub work on AUX and CD's, not only on radio.

Thanks in advance,
Devin

P.S
Ill take and post pics of my first install later on.

Instead or the remote wire (blue/white) on the HU you use the Antenna(Blue) one

So take the remote wire from the amp and hook it into the antenna on the deck?

I think he is saying you might have wired it incorrectly? Did you double check to see if you wired the remote from the amp to the remote of your deck?

The blue wire on the deck is the power antenna wire. Do not use it unless you have a power antenna. Use the blue white wire on the back of the cd player, it is the remote on line. You have used the blue wire to operate the amp turn on, it only gives +12v when the tuner is on and goes dead when the AUX in, IPOD or cd is used. Change wires and all should work fine.

lol, I hates it when that happens. Even did it myself once way back in the day!

haha. So I changed wires around and all is working fine. Sooooo much rattle off that damn spoiler ive got on the car lol but im not worried about sound deadening as i don't plan on keeping this car very long.
