hi all, i just stumbled across this forum and was looking for some advice...

my good ol naka CD-45z has finally reached the end of its life and its time for me to get a new HU. i've just been offered a deal for the CDA-7990 HU, $1200, used once only in iasca comp.

problem is, my 'dream' HU has always been the denon Z1, or maybe the naka CD-700. but the price is a real steal on the 7990... should i 'sell out'? the time alignment function seems quite tempting, especially since i drive a tiny 2-seater...

help!!!!!!!

 

Consider the Eclipse CD5000 for another stellar cd player as well. Some of the Nak's are still a good unit, others are best left on the distributors shelves.

 

Get a 700 and dont look back.

Are these Nak units Sirius ready?? If not, I would stick with Eclipse! I know the Sirius SQ is not great, but it comes in handy every once in a while (personal opinion of course).

 

No they are not Sat. Ready. People looking for a serious SQ HU are not hung-up on sat. radio compatiblity normally and thats there reason for not adding it.

 

ive never heard of the naka CD-700.... someone educate me :P what is there site?
