need advice on my system please!
 

My car: 1999 Honda Accord

System: MTX TC2002 amp - powering a pair of infinity components
MTX TC8001 amp - powering a pair of Infinity perfect 12" 4Ohm subs.

My question is how should I hook these up? I was going to go with 4 gauge wiring system, but was unsure of what type of capacitors and or extra battery this setup would require? I already have a 1 farad cap if that is of any help.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

4 guage is ok i would go with 1/0 my self but 4 guage will do it fine capacitors arn't neccesary just do the big 3 and your stock batt will do as long as it is good otherwise do a search there are a ton of best batt threads on here

I would not waste time with 4 gauge. Go for 2 or 0 gauge. If you have a cap, you can use it, as it will surely stop the lights from dimming. Do the big three. You dont need another battery. If you wanna switch out your stock to dry cell deep cycle - you can. I hope those components are not Reference, but at least a Kappa or Kappa Perfect. Do not waste time with Reference. Also, I would go with a bit bigger amp for them. Twice as big, actually.

Thanks for your input. Why would you suggest going for a bigger amp? The components are only rated for 90 RMS, and the tc2002 will deliver 100 RMS to each. Thanks again.

This amp is 50 watts/side at 4 ohms, which is what you probably have for components. It will only deliver 100 watts/side at 2 ohms, which is unlikely in your current set up plan. It would still work, but more power would improve sound quality a lot at higher volumes.

AFAIK, the infinity components (60.7CS) are 2Ohm.
