need help with amp

i have 2 SWR-1222D subwoofers here is the link

which one of these amps would be the best choice

Alpine MRP-M1000

CRUNCH GPV 2000.1

Hifonics BXI1508D

Infinity KAPPA ONE

JL Audio 1000/1 v2

Kicker 08ZX1000.1

MTX Audio 1000XD

PowerAcoustik STAX 4000/1D

Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000-1BD

Soundstream TRX1000D

since you have 2 subs with the dual 2ohm coils it will have a final load of .5ohm witch you dont want. soo you will have to wire it up to 2ohms. sooo any of these amps that will to 1000watts rms at 2ohm will do... since your in alpine tho you might as well grab the m1000

First, the final load of your 2 subs is 2 ohms and together they can take 1000w RMS.
In the list provided i would choose the JL because of the regulated power supply and power but that's just me. My second pick would be the Alpine since it can produce 1000w@2ohms and will be reliable. Kicker...well i never like their amp but on paper seem also like a good candidate.


There's also the eD NINe.1 (special @ 195$ on eD site) that will give you a good 900w@2ohms.

somebody told me its better to stick with the same brand for the amp and the woofers, is that true?

it doesnt matter.. its all in the quality of your product. the strength of your electrical system and box design.. oh and quality of your install

NO, but it will usually give you a product of the same quality. So it could be a good match for someone who dont know car audio at all since all their equipments will be at the same level

Only from a looks point of view.....watts are watts and your speaker can't see what brand amp is making the power.....
