need help with amp choice?
 

im running 2 dual 4ohm dvc alpine type r subs. im looking for a 1ohm stable amp to power these. i think there 600rms, there the newest model. ive been out of car audio for about 10 years and have no idea what to buy. also no good local shops around me with decent product

What's your budget like for the amp?

ive got the same sub set up and im gonna run them at 4 ohm off the mrp-m2000, im sure ppl will come up with options that will be less expensive but when i get this done i can let you know how it sounds.

It's nice to pick amp and subs in relation to each other. I believe those subs are available as dual 2ohm as well. If u planned what amp u were running before now, it would've opened up your choices to running a one ohm or 2 ohm stable amp. Alpines m1000 (2ohm stable) works very well on 2 TypeRs. There are lots of one ohm stable amps though. Are u looking to buy local or Internet? What's available locally?

my previous amp the bed, thats why im running 1ohm. to late to changed now. i only stuff around me are alpine,kicker,audison,mtx, anything at best buy or futureshop. and thats about it. i can spoend about 500. i would buy off the internet if some reccomends a trusted site or vendor

You've got a decent budget for the amp. I'd suggest looking around your local retailers and see who's got the most power for the least price. If buying a major name brand amp you can pretty much guarantee it's putting out rated power.

problem is my local stores are futureshop and best buy. im not buying anything from there.

i use to have a memphis st1000d back in the day and loved that amp. i see they carry memphis amps to. anyone know the difference between these 2 amps?
