need help choosing a Pioneer Subwoofer

guys I am about to order a set of pioneer champion Subs but I cant tell which one I should order.

Pioneer TS-W308D4 or Pioneer Premier TS-W1208D4

According to Sonic W3 is for ported box anmd W12 is for sealed box. However; I cant find any info on Pioneer website. Infact Pioneer USA and Pioneer Canada post different info on these 2 subs. I dont want to order the wrong sub. Can any one help out?

I am trying to post link to the description of both subs but it wont let me (I need to have 5 posts in order to post links)

Save your $, order them in Canada and go for the last years model TSW1207D4 or TSW1207D2. The new subs TSW1208D4 and TSW1208D2 are the same sub with a different candy coating.

Out of the US with a unauthorized buyer = zero warranty in Canada. So if you want warranty on them, you pay to ship them back to the US and then pay to have them shipped back to you again. A sub is the single most abused item in a system, consider that before sending your $ over the line for the seemingly good deal (only to get raped on international shipping, brokerage, $ conversion, taxes etc.). The last years subs are on sale for $100.00 CDN each + gst + shipping and full warranty as well. No PST if you are from outside of BC (helps to offset shipping costs) and if you have a warranty issue, any authorized CDN dealer in Canada is there to help you out.

Now both subs will play fine in a sealed or ported box, the choice of sub though is going to be 100% determined by the amp you have for them. If you amp makes it's maximum output power at either 4 ohm bridged or 1 ohm mono, you want the D4, if your amp makes it's maximum power at 2 ohm mono, you want the D2.

thanks for the reply

If you pay attention to model # both subs are rated at 4 ohm. One says Pioneer Champion the other one says Premier Champion. Both are rated at same power.

On some websites such as sonic they say one is designed for sealed and one for ported, however, Pioneer does not say any thing about this.

By the way where in Canada can you get the 307 for $100?

This dealer has the last years model that I listed for $100 right now.... the new sub is the TSW1208D4 and is basically the same darn thing. My bet is that the pioneer champion and premiere champion are going to be the same sub and both will work in either a sealed or ported box.

They are identical minus the logo. Box is all down to what you want in a system.
