need help please
 

hey guys

I have an 87 mustang gt and i sold my sub and amp to start fresh with new gear. Now i need help deciding on what to get. I want something with good sound quality but also be able to be loud. I cant decide on 2 10's or 1 12 etc and obviously an amp to run the subs. I want something that i can buy locally like at a&b sound, visions etc. For an amp id like to run around 400-600 rms, i dont really want nothing to extreme. My thoughts so far were 2 JL 10w1v2's, 2 RF punch p2's,2 JL 10w3v2's,2 type r 10's,2 kicker 10 L5's or possibly 1 RF Power T1 10. For 1 12 i was thinking type r 12, JL 12w3v2, RF punch p3 or RF power T1 12. And any suggestions for amps would be great also. As you can see im very confused and im wanting to do all this by the end of next weekend, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I know people say that you gotta hear it before ya buy it but really what place is gonna have everything hooked up to listen to. Again i want something that sounds good but is still decently loud.
Like I said im open to any opinions that anyone might have.

My vote is a pair of 10s in a vented box.

I'd also go with 2 10's, I's also look at the JL 10w3v2's and the type R's, both good good quality IMO. When looking for an amp find one that has around the same amount of RMS power that both subs together have, at the ohm load that you are wiring them up to. Example, each sub is 300 RMS dual 4ohm. Both subs together can handle 600 RMS. if you wire the subs at 4 ohms(series/parallel) you will need an amp that can produce 600RMS at 4ohms. Or, if you are wiring the subs at 1ohm (parallel/parallel) you need an amp that can run 600RMS at a 1ohm load.

another opinion of mine, I'd run the subs at 4 ohms for better sound quality.
