Important areas to consider before purchasing driver besides the impedence issue:

-Enclosure size available (net air available and depth may be an issue with some installs)
-Cost
-SQ or SPL or what kind of mix
-Material played
-Where will it be crossed over at

Answer those and I'll give you some more choices.

I have been looking at the Atomic apocalypse 15" subs and theyre very appealing to me. They have good reviews, and are in my price range. Lots of people say they walk all over the Kicker L7. I definately have enough room for 1 15", the cost is right in my range ( $600 C or less ) SPL more dominant than SQ(but still some sq). I listen to rap music all the time, and i dont even know what the last question means hah.
Also, I've seen this 6" ports on 2loud4u, r they good?

L7's are pretty tough to beat for street beating if your main goal is to be loud. If you've got the space to run a L7 in a nice big ported enclosure then I would say go for the single 15L7 with your 1000 watts.

yes 6"and 4" ports are good for SPL and with the right boxes can be great for street beating.L7s are great subs for the money and power you could use for them. not efficent if you are going too put more power then 1000 watts too them.atomic is great too I ran the 12" apxx's last year with 3000 watts going too both subs.not enough power to subs rated for 4000 rms each, great line too work with for street bumping or SPL competing.
not quite as loud as the new DD 9912z though mmm?
