Need to know if this ANL fuse is damaged

Now I don't know anything about fuses so I thought I would try here.

I just received my wiring from knukonceptz, Might I add it seems to be really strong cables & RCA's...

Now, I opened the little bag of goodies and seen that the center of the ANL fuse is all cracked, I think it got damaged because the packaging was crammed in the box pretty tight with no room to spare.

Generally when a fuse blows it breaks in the center, But this fuse is just cracked and not totally gone.

It's not a big deal, I don't think those fuses cost a lot.

If there is a crack in it it will obviously carry less current, not worth using if it is cracked.
However could it be that it just the plating that is peeling?
I've had several ANL gold plated fuses that the plating is flawed and looks like the bar is cracked., but its not.
Messed up plating can't be that good either, but if the metal is intact I would think it would still flow current well.
I generally don't use 'em with any flaw, like you said they're cheap.
Buy them local and if there is a flaw you can take them back easier than mailing/packing,emailing etc. when buying online.

those mini anl fuses always look like that after opening so many packages from them... dont be worry.

Yeah my father is an electrician so I asked him about it and he tested it with a meter and he said the fuse works fine.

It's just the cover that is cracked I think and not the inside, I will buy a new one anyways because a fuse is a pretty important thing to have and I don't want to take chances.

Jalat is correct it is probably a mini ANL and it is probably fine. A fuse that goes too fast wont hurt you (but it will frustrate)

Thanks dudes :).

I am really impressed by this wiring kit, 4AWG kit 2 Channel RCA's and 100ft of 16AWG speaker wire all for around 80$ before shipping.

That's actually really impressive, Because the quality of the RCA's and wire feels really strong and ment to last a very long time...

p.s thos RCA cables are nothing compared to the eKs (i believe) series. its like the prettiest cables i've seen

Certainly better than the Stinger RCA's I used to have.

The kit came with 12ft of 12AWG wire too and it seems like really strong stuff.
