Need opinions on Subs
 

So I'm buying some new subs to put in my car but a little unsure between 2 choices.

running a hifonics bxi1208D at 1 ohm it will so 1200 watts rms

I was looking at either buying 2 15" kicker CVR's or 2 12" Alpine type R's which i know type R's are the better sub but how will they compare in loudness to 15's?

both are around the same price.

the 15's may be big in my trunk is a worry so im wondering if alpines in 12's would be a better choice but would they still close to as loud?

Any other subs that you are going to consider? What about the box for the new sub(s), the box is going to really determine what is going on for output levels. What kind of car is it going into? Is the goal lots of bass output or everyday listening to music kind of output?

well the goal of it will probably be everyday music with lots of loud bass.

i guess space would sort of be an issue so if i went 15's it would have to be a sealed box where as if it was the alpine's i would be putting them into a ported

and yes those are the two choices i'v narrowed it down to and plan on ordering in the next day or two.

i'll be constructing the box myself for them to fit my trunk, lets just hope i plan a little better then the last box i built that i had to take out my trunk trim to fit the box in and then put it back in after it was in.
