need some advice on system components
I've spent the last few months researching about and playing with audio/electricity.
I own a 1989 dodge dakota sport. It's a single cab. I'm a bass nut. Ultimately it's not the sound that does it for me, it's the vibration. Since it's a single cab I don't have tonnes of room, but I just wanted some opinions on what's good and what's bad in the way of woofers and amps. I intend on running a high wattage mono sub amp powering two shallow mount 12"s, another powering two shallow mount 8"s or 10"s(mid range bass), and another small one powering my small speakers. My apologies in advance if I've placed this post in the wrong section, and if I've been confusing with my wording. All advice is appreciated :-) |
Stick to one woofer size and IMO I don't think you have the room for a pair of 12s in a regular cab Dakota. Consider a pair of shallow 10s.

I run a single 10 in my Dakota and it's more than enough. It's not how many or sometimes even what size you use, but more importantly how it's done.

What make and model sub are you running?
What sort of enclosure did you put it in? |
