Need some oppinions please.

Will a us amps usa150 at 2ohms mono(about 400 watts) push a 15 inch dd sub? If not what is a good sub for this amp? Looking for SQ with alot of boom too. I have two of these amps and an epic 150 and a crytal line ine drive not sure if this may be relivent.

Thanks for any help

I just looked that amp up:

2 x 75 @ 4 ohms
2 x 150 @ 2 ohms
2 x 225 @ 1 ohm
1 x 300 @ 4 ohms bridged
1 x 450 @ 2 ohms bridged
S/N ratio : 100 db
Fuse: External 75A
Manufactured in 1999
US Amps USA-150 (1999)

it is only 450w bridged (from what I understand that means 2 amps) so I would have to recommend trying to sell those paper weights or throw them out and go pick up a real amp

if you really want to keep those amps you might be able to get away with a 10" sub, a lot of the good ones are rated for 400-450rms, possibly a 12 as well. You could probly go with a Kicker L5 10" which would give you your SQ and a bit of boom...

IMHO those two amps cant push a 15"...

lol

To tell you the truth one of these amps can push 2 15's with ease. I used to compete with one of these amps and 2 15" Petras Prowlers back in the day to a prety consistant 143db. But the prowlers required alot less wattage to get them moving. I'm just not sure if the dd actually need 750w rms to work properly.

Thanks again

I had a 200 watt U.S. amp powering a Cerwin Vega 15d4 years ago and it did just fine. Are you planning to use both amps on that sub? Or are you looking to power a sub using one? What DD sub do you have?

Also is $250 a good price for a DD 2515 sub. It has a small hole in the surround but I'm prety sure it wont effect the sound if sealed properly.

Thanks again
