Need Some Setup Advice - Complete Newbie
 

I've been looking over the threads and there's a ton of info here..

If anyone can help me with my setup I would appreciate it...

Here's the context:

2002 Protege 5
Alpine 9885 deck
Listen almost only to Alternative Rock, Indie, and Electronic.


Now, I'd like to spend around 800 - 1000 dollars.

In terms of bang for my buck, what's the best thing I can do for sound quality.

good front components, properly installed...an appropriate amplifier, and a subwoofer system...in that order.
