Need suggestions for 6.5" components powered by a Soundstream Human Reign
 

Hey Guys,

so i just ordered a Soundstream Human Reign 2nd gen, HRU.4, 140wrms x 4 @ 4ohms

i've been trying to find a decent pair of 6.5" components to match with this amp because my infinity kappa coaxials and $100 CDT components aren't going to cut it.

I was looking at the Boston Acoustics PRO60SE and the JBL C608GTI. I heard that the JBLs aren't great. My price range is around $600. These two choices fit exactly in my price range.

So any other suggestions??

well a bunch is what im hoping for. i live in quebec where there are no places to listen to these speakers, so im really stuck with making a choice based on other peoples opinions. i'll be buying from woofersetc which is why im leaning towards teh boston acoustics, they are on crazy special. $300 instead of $600.

am just hoping to get some really passionate suggestions from people who know what they're talking about. im not looking for an SQ competition setup, just something that sounds really good.

might be important to mention that i won't be running a sub, so im looking for something that has great midbass.

Hybrid Audio Technologies - Clarus 61-2. I love'em and that amp will power them nicely.

Digital Designs new German engineered components FTW!!

There are many brands to choose from, Look for reviews on the internet and go to a local shop and take a listen.

I bought Morel Tempo's for 360$ from someone here who used to run a shop, I never heard them before but I trusted his judgement and they are wonderful speakers.

A lot of the Component sets these guys here are posting are probably very good, People usually give good advice and answers here!

Solen is pretty good to deal with and they are in Montreal. The SB Acoustic speakers are beautifull sounding drivers and the ring radiator tweeters are silky smooth. Fountek drivers are some of the best around and the Tang Band tweeters is unbelievably good for the $$$$, I am currently using this tweeters myself. Good luck with whatever you choose.
