neeed new hood battery

its time to swap out my stock acdelco battery in the g6. im running a orion 2500D amp at 1 ohm right now. im going with a 1 battery set-up for the front what are some batterys i should get? not really wanting to go over 200$
have people had any experiance with these 2 batteries from crappy tire?
Motomaster Eliminator Spiral Grid Battery Product #10-7590-8 - 159.99
Orbital Cycle Extreme-Duty Battery Product #10-3499-2 - 179.99
those are what im currently lookin at, i dont want a optima unless people think id would better suit my application but ive read questionable things on those batteries. also my stock alt in the car is 120amp if i remember correctly so its a fair sized alt. any feedback is helpful.:smilie_da

That didn't help me ąt all

I'm running roughly 2000rms off a Optima Yellow Top (non G31) and the Big 3. At the amp(s) my voltage full tilt is around 12.8V

See what kinda voltage you get at your amp as of right now. Then do the Big 3 leaving your stock battery in, and see what improvments you get. Then decided whether you need a deep cycle or not (which you probably will)

EDIT: All my wiring is done in 4AWG (including BIG 3)

Jalat my big 3 is done with 0 ga and friday ill be doing a run of 0 from front to back and then doing my 2 power/ground for my amp it accepts 2 of both in 4ga.

So as of right now, do you have any idea what your voltage is at your amp, during full tilt?

Luckly I got my Optima cheap, but i must say I am impressed with it so far. It charges quickly and holds a good charge with the car off.

My only other suggestion is to not cheap out on your electrical, as it is probably the most important part of your audio system

No I don't ill find out tomorow afternoon and post it when I get it. But this is why I'm asking cuz I know kinetic is proven good but I'm not dishing out 500+ for a freking battery and i know with batts its a hit n miss thing just wanna see what's good with the lesser expensive bats

If I were you I would go for an Optima Red Top. You can get the 34/78 series (Largest Capacity) for around $200. I just bought mine from Walmart in Edmonton for either $200 or $220, I can't remember.

I've seen one of these used in a 150+dB system with a stock alternator and it did very well. I can't fault it, it probably has the highest value in a high performance battery.
