i found the link to the power surge batts you sure your getting a 7000 they only go up to a 3000 and that one weighs 160 pounds

Oddly enough, the optima website doesn't list your car in their fitment section. I'd just call them. The 34/78 is more or less a universal battery and comes with a few different adaptors, so unless you've got height restrictions or something else going on you should be able to make it fit.

Here are the specs for Red Tops:

So just before heading to school I turned the car on put music on full tilt to a heavy bass song and hooked the dmm to the batter it read like 12~volts then dropped to 4 for a secondd (might have touched a bad spot) and it stayed at 14 ~ so someone please explane how I'm getting dimmingg

try an odyssey pc 1500, its like a group 24 battery and fits in the stock location in most chev vehicles.....imo, odyssey is the strongest for around $220
