With your budget you are going to be primarily looking in the used market. What did that MB Quart amp end up costing you anyways? It will be highly informative to other people to let them know what the real costs of the amp were. If you can provide a breakdown on it. I will start looking to see what I can find that is new but with your budget it is going to really limit the amp choice to either the flea market stuff or perhaps something discontinued and of course used.

I kinda would rather not buy used, but I could spend more money on a amp depends if my amp and agm battery get sold then I'd have about 700 to play with and I'd get a sound digital amp. My current POS mb quart ran me 270 after conversion and import fees.

The Lightning is a Rockford based amp from what I last recall. I actually have one in the store. It would not offer you much of a improvement over what you have now so I would not recommend that you waste even more $. Sell your amp, save up a little and buy a good amp this time. What final ohm load do you need?
