New to Car Audio, Looking for a DVD/Nav HU.

Hi All

I'm new to anything car audio related, usually just sticking with whats stock. I have an 2004 Grand Prix w/ the 9 Speaker Monsoon system.

I want to add navigation to my car and I have 2 choices. Factory Nav or after market. Factory Nav would let me retain Nav display through the HUD. Tho it doesn't play DVD movies. After market would cost me HUD Nav display, tho I can play DVD movies.

If I go after market what I would like to do is setup a 5.1 surround system in the car since it has a factory center speaker. I'm not looking for anything on the high end just something a little louder and clearer then stock. I've been looking at the Alpine IVA-W205 w/ the Blackbird II Nav & a MRA-F350 theater amp to start with, however when it comes to Speakers/Subs and Amp's for the Subs I'm lost. I figure I'm looking for 1 or 2 10"s Sub wise.

If I go with the above 3 Alpine units, what are some recommended speakers etc that would match up well? Sub wise should I go for 1 or 2 10"? or? I don't need block shaking bass. I want to be able to hear the music over the subs..

For those who are unfamiliar with the GP's Speaker configuration.

3.5" Center in the dash
6.75" in the Doors w/ Tweeters mounted beside them.
6"x9" 1way? in the rear deck
4.5" Mounted directly above the 6"x9"s

Thanks for the help.
