Crunch is part of the Maxxsonics family along with Hifonics, MB Quart and Autotek...

This is more of their "budget" line, but I've still heard very good things about them.

When looking at the ratings make sure you're looking for their RMS and not peak because they sometimes list the peak. (go to their web page for the info)

If it's what fits your budget then you're making a good choice by going with them. :smilie_da

I have a Hifonics Brutus bx1205, and it's been an excellent amp for the last 3 years. I can't say if it's overated or not as I've never measured the output, but, when I switched it with my cousin's RF power 10001, they sounded the same. It's used at least 4 hours everyday as I drive a lot, and even in 30+ degrees, it gets just warm to the touch. Assuming Maxxonics has similar quality control across the board, the Crunch amps should be fine.

The crunch line is awesome, even for it being maxxsonics lower brand. Many have used it to get them to the finals, and have always had good things to say about their products, if you want to learn more about it, go to db drags forum and you can talk with tons who use this product and even who have developed it.
